The European Union makes money available to dozens of backyards and some communal gardens and streets in Oud-Mathenesse make it greener and more climate-proof. This helps to reduce heat and flooding. The plans for it are now in the making.

The project Neighborhood in bloom will offer residents free help and materials to turn their garden into a green, dry and cool place.
