Tiles out, plants in. Together we put Mathenesse in bloom.
Every tree mirror, balcony or façade garden counts
Matheness can be a bit greener – and that doesn’t have to be difficult at all. With a plant on your balcony, a façade garden or tree mirror, we make Mathenesse together more beautiful, cozy and cooler.
In our neighborhood you often see them: Niko, Johan, Janine and Lilian – always busy with plants, flower bulbs or the construction of façade gardens. They are familiar faces in the neighborhood and are happy to roll up their sleeves to make the neighborhood greener and more beautiful.
Whether it is about handing out flower bulbs in the spring or brightening up a bare sidewalk: the green neighbors provide color and life in the street.
Become a green neighbor of Oud-Mathenesse too!
The green neighbors together ensure a green, liveable neighborhood: façade gardens, tree mirrors, planting actions, neighborhood initiatives and helping each other with maintenance. Are you also participating?
We have a WhatsApp group in which we share plans and activities. In this app group you can ask each other for green advice or help.
We are looking for extra hands for greening actions: plants, weeding and working out ideas together. Everyone can participate – whether you have green fingers or not! Together we ensure a nice, green neighborhood that everyone can enjoy.
To prevent your façade garden plants from being lost during the sewer work, the green neighbors have set up the plant depot in Engelsstraat 40, near the gym. Here you can temporarily place your facade garden plants.
How does it work?
Choose a place within the gate of the depot.
Dig out your plants and plant them in your chosen profession.
Keep taking care of your piece – water in the event of drought and remove weeds. There is water storage and tools, so you can get started right away.
After the work in your street, you can dig out your plants and put them back in your new façade garden or tree mirror. Do you want to use the plant depot? Let us know! & nbsp; If you need help with this, let us know, then the green neighbors can help you save the plants.
